|PDS||Introduction to PDS - Part 1||Warwick||2 Days||21st & 22nd January | 18th & 19th February | 17th & 18th March||This two day course is designed to provide basic training to enable productive use of our Design Suite software by Engineers and Technicians. By the end of this course you will have a solid foundation and working knowledge of the software. Prerequisites: None Audience: This course is for new users for those who have not used the software for some time who are looking for grounding in the latest version and techniques. Design Engineers, Technicians and anybody else in your team on the front line of engineering design should attend as well as Project Managers and Team Leaders who would also gain by having a working knowledge of the strengths and capabilities of the design Suite software.|
|PDS||Introduction to PDS - Part 2||Warwick||1 Day||20th February | 23rd April | 18th June||This one day course is designed to expand on the techniques learnt in the Introduction Course Part 1 to help you become more productive and profitable. By the end of this course you will have knowledge of working with advanced techniques and functionality of PDS. Prerequisites: Attendees for this course is aimed at those who have attended the Introduction Part 1 course, gained practical use and are now looking to extend their knowledge and learn some of the more advanced aspects.|
|PDS||Fundamental Drainage Design||Warwick||1 Day||17th February | 16th March||This one day course is designed to introduce the core requirements of drainage design and enable trainees to produce a complete drainage network using Causeway Flow. This course will provide all necessary knowledge on the design, scheduling and analysis of a drainage network prepared for approval using the Flow software. Prerequisites: None Audience: This course is for new users or those who are looking to refresh their knowledge in the latest version and techniques. Drainage design engineers from engineering consultancies, civil engineering firms, housing developers, highway engineers and approving authorities involved in the UK drainage design market will gain a comprehensive knowledge in drainage design and achieve a working knowledge of the strengths and capabilities of the Flow drainage design software.|
|PDS||Line & Sign||Warwick||1 Day||19th March||This one day course is designed to give you maximum return on your investment in PDS Line & PDS Sign by minimising the learning period for new users, providing an insight into the fundamental design rules in Chapter 5 and 7 of the Traffic Signs Manual, and showing experienced traffic engineers how to maximise their output using the software. Prerequisites: Attendees should have a reasonable working knowledge of AutoCAD. Some familiarity with Chapter 7 of the Traffic Signs manual would also be useful. Audience: This course is for new users who are looking for grounding in the latest version of PDS Line & PDS Sign. Design engineers and technicians working in Civil Engineering, Highways and Traffic departments together with anyone else involved in Road Marking and Sign Face design should attend.|
|PDS||Advanced Alignments||Warwick||1 Day||21st May||This one day course is designed to instruct users familiar with ordinary alignment design in the methods of utilising the PDS Suite of Software to design highways and roundabouts. By the end of this course you will have an appreciation of the tools used for more advanced road design. Prerequisites Attendees for this course must have a good working knowledge of the standard alignment design tools contained within the PDS Suite Audience. This course is aimed at Design Engineers & Technicians who have attended the Introduction Part 1 and Part 2 courses and are now looking for exposure to specific advanced design modules. Length 1 day.|
|PDS||Ground Modelling||Warwick||1 Day||Please enquire||This one day course is designed to illustrate effective use of the PDS Suite of Software to create and analyse digital ground models. By the end of this course you will have a good working knowledge of the the Ground Modelling module of the Professional Design System. Prerequisites: None Audience: This course is aimed at users whose main focus Terrain Modelling.|
|Estimating & Valuations||Introduction to Estimating||Warwick||2 Days||13th & 14th January | 17th & 18th February | 23rd & 24th March||This two day course is designed to provide basic training to enable productive use of Causeway Estimating. The course covers the basic understanding of computerised estimating together with an outline of the various data required to assist in the estimating process. Users will also learn how to use the Causeway Estimating to commercial manage estimates to maximise profit by basic cost manipulation. By the end of this course you will be able to produce estimates using CEP, including sending out enquiries for both subcontractors and suppliers and using these in the estimate. Prerequisites: You should have a basic understanding of computers but not necessarily any experience of computerised estimating systems. Audience: Estimators, Surveyors, Commercial Managers plus clerical staff who assist in the preparation of Estimates.|
|CATO||Take Off & Bills||Warwick||1 Day||5th March | 1st April||This one day course is designed to provide basic training to enable productive use of Take Off & Bills by Quantity Surveyors. By the end of this course delegates will obtain all the knowledge required to use the software and produce a Bill of Quantities, which can be sent to a contractor in a variety of formats for pricing. In addition to this, the course covers how software can be used to analyse this priced information and produce a priced Bill of Quantities. Prerequisites None Audience: Quantity Surveyors, Contractors, Technicians and anybody else that is involved with measurement and BQ/Tender Documentation preparation.|
|CATO||Introduction to CAD/BIMMeasure||Warwick||1 Day||20th January | 4th March | 30th March||This one day course is designed to provide basic training to enable productive use of CADMeasure. The course will introduce the basics of the CAD environment and how detailed accurate measurements can be achieved. Also how this data can be manipulated to suit cost plans, estimates or bills. By the end of this course you will be able to use CADMeasure to aid in your taking off from either CAD or PDF drawing, You will be able to export measurement data to other Causeway products such as Estimating & Cost Planning and also third party applications such as Excel. Prerequisites: None Audience: Quantity Surveyors, Engineers, Architects or anybody producing measurement from CAD or intending to measure from CAD based drawings.|
|CATO||Cost Planning||Warwick||1 Day||6th March | 31st March||This 1 day course is designed to provide a good introduction to the Project Executive plus initial training to enable productive use of CATO Cost Planning by Quantity Surveyors / Estimators. The module can be used to create cost plans using information from Industry standard or bespoke Elemental Libraries or from previous jobs, in part or whole, thereby saving valuable time. Items can also be linked to external Excel spreadsheets. Costs can be estimated in summary format initially and later built up from first principles if required. Users are able to track any changes that occur in the estimate and compare revisions of cost plans side-by-side, such that reports are transparent. The Causeway Cost Planning report writer can be used to generate a range of fully editable report types from comparison reports to audit trail reports and also be used to export to PDF and Excel. From a zero knowledge starting point, the course objective is to provide a clear understanding of the software and its powerful functions. The training will also include the link to Causeway’s CAD measurement program ‘BIMMeasure’|
