As the government’s mandate for BIM use on public sector projects rapidly approaches, many organisations are equipping themselves with the BIM version of Causeway Professional Design Suite (PDS), along with the new Flow drainage design package.

A case in point is Hampshire County Council, an existing user of PDS that is currently involved in a high volume of new projects. Having evaluated the BIM version of PDS the Council was keen to upgrade. However, it also needed to update its drainage design functionality and the cost of purchasing additional licences of the incumbent system would have stretched their budget.

As an alternative, the council evaluated the Flow drainage design program alongside its existing system and determined that investing in Flow would fit the new BIM workflows better. It also saved a considerable amount of money, allowing them to justify investment in more of the software they really needed.

The combination of PDS and Flow is helping the Council to achieve BIM compliance while also getting the best value for money.
