The economic climate still presents many challenges for organisations in the construction industry. Many firms are looking for ways to reduce cost and increase efficiency to remain competitive and re-engineer their businesses for the challenges ahead.

Causeway ECM is a document, drawing and business process management system that offers a tool for collaborating within the supply chain on construction projects. Customers Kier Group, John Graham, McGee and Stepnell have all extended the use of their Causeway ECM solution to more users both internally and externally within their supply chains. Handling documents and drawings electronically can significantly reduce the administrative burden of managing construction projects. With over 7,000 existing users of Causeway ECM, Kier Group have expanded their usage with an additional 500 users now being given access to their corporate document store. Adding 80 users, Belfast based John Graham Group have steadily increased their use of the Causeway ECM solution by offering subcontractors and partners access to project documentation. London based demolition and civil engineering contractor, McGee, has added 25 users alongside their recent purchase of Causeway Estimating and CADMeasure. Using ECM to manage the Health and Safety process on jobs, McGee recently won a London Health and Safety award, whilst working on a project for BAM – another major Causeway ECM customer. Finally, regional contractor Stepnell, who invested in Causeway ECM at the beginning of 2011, are already moving quickly to expand its use as they roll out the solution within their business.
