Leading global resources company BHP Billiton has recently extended its use of Causeway’s FM Facts suite of modular CAFM solutions at its London headquarters, including Helpdesk, Asset Management and FM Online customer portals.
BHP Billiton is among the world’s largest producers of major commodities including aluminium, coal, copper, iron ore, manganese, nickel, silver and uranium. The company also has substantial interests in oil and gas.
BHP Billiton has been using FM Facts for over 14 years, both directly and through a facilities service provider, continually upgrading the system to take advantage of the latest functionality. This partnership has now been extended for a further two years.
The combination of Helpdesk and FM Online enables users to raise requests online and monitor their progress without the need to make direct contact with the FM department. In this way, internal customers receive an up-to-date service while the number of calls and emails to help desk staff is greatly reduced.
Taking advantage of the integrated, modular design of FM Facts, with links between Helpdesk and Asset Management, the company is also able to maintain accurate asset records and manage preventative maintenance tasks through the Helpdesk module.
