Sunderland-based A.C.T. Construction Services Ltd has chosen Causeway Estimating to help increase the efficiency and productivity of the estimating process.
A.C.T is a family-run construction company that undertakes a wide range of work from major new build and refurbishment projects through to maintenance and emergency call-out work. In 2011, against stiff competition, the company secured Sunderland City Council’s Framework contract for Building Repairs and Maintenance. Estimating Manager Cavan McNicholas joined the company at the beginning of 2012:
“When I first joined A.C.T. we weren’t using estimating software but having used Causeway Estimating before I knew we could introduce significant time-savings,” he recalled. “For example, we build a lot of extensions and with Causeway Estimating it is very easy to set up a template from one job and then modify it for each project, rather than starting from scratch each time. Since implementing the estimating software we have already seen major benefits,” he added.
