Drainage annotation made easy
Our drainage annotation is now a lot more customisable and editable. Causeway's Product Owner, Candice Starke showed how easy it is for users to drag and drop annotation elements into their preferred configuration.
Progressive surfacing with LiDAR data
Users saw how to import LiDAR data in GeoTIFF format, select the subset points and a polygon, resulting in a precise replication of your desired site.
Users can also bump up the level of detail by increasing the data points overlaying a more detailed version of the site.
Junction visibility splays
There is a new option within the Alignments properties to visualise Junction Visibility Splay
sightlines. Users can choose whether to display these sightlines using Styles; with a choice of
colour, line width, and text size.
Junction visibility can be controlled via the Alignment Properties panel, where ‘Set back’ and ‘Visibility distance’ properties for a junction can be set.
Global design reports
Design reports can now be created and customised, giving you access to the full data set of your design. This includes reporting of cut and fill and depth band volumes, which can be configured directly within the Design Report dialogue.

Upcoming features in Causeway Live Design v4.5
- Site boundary definitions: Users will have the ability to set site boundaries beyond which no changes can be made to the design. It will ensure compliance with any boundary regulations and greater control over the design process.
- Gradient indicators: Display the gradient between two points as a gradient indicator that will automatically update to reflect any changes across user's design.
- Forward visibility splays: This will give users visibility along the horizontal plane for their alignment designs, which helps to promote safe road designs.
