On 6th March 2025, Causeway hosted a live webinar to unveil a major upgrade to the Causeway Alloy platform: Alloy Apps. With over 70 local authorities in attendance, the session introduced a smarter, faster and more intuitive way of working for teams managing infrastructure and public services.

The launch comes at a time when local authorities face growing pressure to do more with less. Outdated systems, limited budgets and incomplete asset data make it harder to deliver services effectively. Alloy Apps tackle these challenges head-on - offering a flexible, role-based experience that adapts to your services and supports any asset type, from highways and street lighting to green spaces. The result: less complexity, better visibility, and more time to focus on what matters.

Key updates from the webinar

During the session, Product Manager Hamish Goldsworthy and Business Unit Director Nick Smee introduced  Alloy Apps - the latest evolution of the Causeway Alloy platform. This release represents a major investment in user experience, capability, and customer success.

Built in response to direct feedback from local authorities, Alloy Apps addresses the day-to-day challenges they face - from legacy systems and siloed processes to limited automation and poor visibility. It helps organisations work more efficiently, make better decisions, and respond quickly to changing needs.

Highlights included:

  • A brand-new navigation experience with streamlined workflows and faster access to essential tools

  • A modernised interface that adapts to each role, surfacing the most relevant data

  • Real-time visualisation tools and configurable dashboards to monitor performance and manage workload

  • Flexible workflow automation to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy

  • A platform capable of managing any asset type, allowing organisations to rationalise their systems and reduce costs
